Restaurant
Step back in time at the Blue Wing Saloon.
First opened in the 1880s when Upper Lake, California was a stage coach stop, our restaurant in Upper Lake was a popular spot for weary travelers to get a hearty and comforting meal, enjoy a cold beverage, and make new friends. It was unfortunately torn down in the 1920's due to prohibition, but the owners never forgot the legacy and deep history of the saloon.
Rebuilt to match an 1870s-era back bar recycled from a pub in Pennsylvania, the Blue Wing Saloon Restaurant’s expansive black walnut bar and dining tables were built on-site by local craftsmen from a 100+ year old tree harvested from the property, and old-growth redwood wainscoting found hidden behind layers of paint and wallpaper during the hotel’s renovation, was rescued and reused in the saloon.
Now, we invite you to come in and feast not only with your stomach but also with your eyes; as you appreciate the deep history and tradition of serving delicious meals at the Tallman Hotel that goes back over one hundred years.

What they're saying:
We have lived in Lake County for a couple of months and tonight's dinner at Blue Wing Saloon was the tastiest meal yet! The outdoor patio is a lovely shaded place to eat. The fried green beans were amazing. I had the ravioli with asparagus and it was delicious. For dessert, the locally sourced strawberry and rhubarb pie was delicious. A wonderful experience!
